Membership to SullivanArc is important on so many levels –
- It allows us to advocate for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities;
- To seek and support legislation on their behalf;
- To develop services to meet the growing needs of our families;
- To give SullivanArc a voice in NYSARC and with the Board of Governors
Our membership and community supporters play an increasingly supporting role as SullivanArc continues to grow and develop innovative programs to meet the needs of our Consumers and families. Membership entitles you to newsletters and informational mailings as well as a SullivanArc discount card for approximately two dozen Sullivan and Orange County businesses. By becoming a member of SullivanArc, you also are automatically a member of NYSARC and the ARC of the U.S.

Fundraising:
Much of SullivanArc’s funding for our Consumers and programs comes through the State of New York OMRDD and Federal sources, such as Medicaid and Social Security. In these troubling financial times, funding isn’t always guaranteed.
To supplement State and Federal funding, and allow SullivanArc to continue to develop new and innovative programs, we use private and voluntary contributions that are generously given by individuals, businesses, philanthropic foundations, families and friends.

2008 Membership Contest

We are looking for new members!
As an incentive, we are offering a prize of $500 to any SullivanArc member who sponsors the greatest number of new members.

Contest Form
Send us a list of prospective members and return it with your membership. We will send each person on your list membership forms in your name. All new memberships that we receive from your list will be counted towards your total. The person responsible for the most new members will receive a check for $500. There is a minimum of ten new members needed to join, who have never previously been members of SullivanArc. SullivanArc staff members and Consumers may only recommend non-staff members and/or Consumers not associated with SullivanArc. In the event of a tie, the prize will be split. Deadline for new members to join is June 20. Winner(s) will be announced at the Annual membership Meeting on June 26.
