PROUD OF YOUR GARDEN?
SullivanArc and Sullivan Renaissance Host 4th Annual Garden Tour
[SULLIVAN COUNTY] – If you are like many Sullivan County homeowners, you spend hours cultivating your garden and landscaping your yard to make just that special outdoor environment that is truly an expression of yourself. Now, you are invited to show off the creative results in your garden by nominating it to be part of the 4th Annual Sullivan County Garden Tour.
The tour takes place on Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 co-sponsored by SullivanArc
and Sullivan Renaissance, as a benefit for SullivanArc’s horticulture program,
which allows people with developmental disabilities to build, plant and
harvest their own vegetables.
Each garden is unique – whether it is a wild flower garden, shade garden,
traditional garden or a one-of-a-kind rustic environment. The tour will select
fewer than a dozen private gardens for viewing to help inspire other gardeners, share ideas and to allow others to enjoy their beauty.
The tour is self-guided with location maps available only on the day of the event.
Tickets will go on sale April 1st. A limited number of tickets will be available.
SullivanArc is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and
services to over 850 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families. Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation.
